Smooth Seas

How blessed are we to live where most people vacation. After a long day in the office, just a few miles from home are the smooth waters, warm salty air and beautiful sunsets of Stuart, FL.

I love this photo in particular as it reminds me so much of a scene my grandfather would have painted. He was a gifted artist who loved to capture beach and ocean scenes with the stroke of his brush. He painted watercolors, acrylic and oil and his signature skill was never to use white paint. Anything white on the canvas was the bare canvas. To watch him beautifully develop his canvas was truly a masterful work of art.
