Blue Laguna Ausangate Q'ocha

The turquoise waters of the Blue Laguna (or Blue Lake) Ausangate Q'ocha are stunning. This lake, located in Cuzco, Peru is fed from the melting snow of Ausangate and sits at 4,500 meters with the peak of the glacier boldly standing at 6,400 meters. 

The bright white glacier piercing through the vibrant blue sky felt serene and surreal. It made for the perfect backdrop for a short hydration break before hitting the trail to round out the days hike.
