Ausangate Streams

The Ausangate Mountain is truly breathtaking. On our 5 day hike we saw the 6,400 meter tall mountain from every angle and every time of day. Day 4 we approached our campsite after a challenging and rewarding day of hiking only to come face to face with this beautiful sight. After we set camp another 500 meters ahead, we ventured back to this spot to fish for trout in these streams. 

We spent about an hour walking along the crevasses, poking into the water feeling around for what would become our dinner. Thankfully, we brought back to the camp 6 trout for us to feast on along with local goods like corn.
